At ERNI, we’re looking for a Data Engineer to join an international Pharma project. You’ll design and build scalable data pipelines, work with modern cloud technologies, and most importantly, collaborate directly with non-technical teams to translate business needs into actionable data solutions. 🧬🚀

How do we ensure that? 🤔
From day one, you will have a mentor with you, who will guide you through your entire onboarding and career at ERNI. You’ll have regular 1:1 meetings with them, and recurrently, you’ll work on your development plan to define your short-, medium-, and long-term goals.
What will you do?
You’ll be part of an international team developing data solutions for a global Pharma client. Your role will involve:
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines to integrate and transform data from multiple sources.
- Implementing and optimizing data storage with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena) and external platforms like Snowflake.
- Leveraging Spark and Databricks for advanced transformations and scalable data processing.
- Ensuring data quality, security, and integrity across the lifecycle.
- Collaborating directly with business stakeholders and non-technical teams to gather requirements and deliver the right solutions.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to best practices.
- Monitoring and optimizing pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost.
What are we looking for?
✅ Minimum 3 years of tangible experience as a Data Engineer.
✅ Strong knowledge of ETL pipelines and data engineering best practices.
✅ Hands-on experience with Spark (mandatory).
✅ Proficiency with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.).
✅ Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
✅ Experience working with Snowflake and Databricks is highly valued.
✅ Excellent communication and soft skills ability to translate non-technical requirements into technical solutions.
✅ Fluent English (spoken & written).
✅ Autonomous and proactive — able to contribute independently quickly
